Lighting

- Soft lighting when you first enter building
  Inviting  Calm Atmosphere
- Lighting is gentle in the cinema screen too
  Relaxing   Calm Atmosphere
- Lights off during film
  No Distractions  Enhancing Film
- Quite bright when lights return
  Abrupt  Strong Lighting  Signalling End of Film
The audience is then inclined to leave the area.

Temperature
- The temperature is controlled

- Kept at an average temperature

Smell
- Confectionary is placed in the foyer, situated so that you always go past it before getting to your cinema screen

- Everywhere else is a neutral smell
